High School

The HCA High School program equips students to embrace leadership roles and strive for excellence in completing a rigorous college preparatory workload in a small-group classroom setting. Numerous on-campus dual enrollment and Advanced Placement courses are available in each subject area as students progress through their high school years of study. Elective courses such as weight training, drama, visual arts, concert band, and life skills (featuring Dave Ramsey’s Foundations course) provide opportunities for personal growth. Academic and fine arts competitions offer platforms for students to display their talents as HCA participates in the full offerings of the GICAA Fine Arts and Academics league. These competitions include quiz bowl, chess, literary, one-act play, history bowl, robotics, among others. High school students learn to sharpen their leadership skills as they lead teams at an annual Teambuilding event at Woodlands Camp (Cleveland, GA) and participation in weekly chapel and at the annual Catalyst leadership conference each fall as graduating seniors. HCA graduates have attended universities such as Johns Hopkins University, Emory, Berry College, Penn State, UGA, UNG, University of Illinois, UC Davis, UCLA, Belmont, SCAD, Georgia Tech, Auburn University, and others.
