MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL– The middle school girl were defeated by Unity Christian 22-18. “The girl’s played their hardest game by far last night. They fought for the win every second of the game, but in the end fell short. I am sad for the girls, but I am so incredibly proud of how hard they have worked this season. After talking to multiple girls this morning, we are all SO excited to pick up where we have left off starting next season. I love these girls and I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to coach them.” Said Coach Walker. The Lady Warrior started two 7th graders and three 6th graders everyone coming back next year, so the future looks very bright.
MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL– The Middle School Boys secured their second straight trip to the District Championship Thursday night defeating Unity Christian School 39-24! “I think this was the best game we have played all season. We’re going to work hard tonight and be ready for tomorrow” said Coach Smith. The Warriors went into the half down by one with a score of 16-17. “We had a slow start, but the boys made the proper adjustments to put themselves in a great position to pull away. They pulled through which helped them grow as a team.” The Warriors held Unity to 7 points in the second half by playing great defense and controlling the pace of the game. “This game was truly a team effort. Everet Rodes had a big game for us playing tough defense and rebounding all night long. Cooper Johnson, Canon Ross, and Peyton Rice continued to lead this team on the offensive end. We will need this effort to win on Saturday.” The Warriors play in the District Championship game on Saturday at 11:45am at Cherokee Christian School and will play Midway Covenant Academy.

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL-The Lady Warriors will travel to Pinecrest Academy tonight at 6pm for the rematch. “This is the last game that we will be able to clean up our mistakes before entering the tournament Monday night” said Coach Taylor. The #3 seed Warriors will enter the Region Tournament Monday at 8pm to face the #2 Seed Unity Lions. The Region Tournament will be held at Unity Christian (2960 New Calhoun hwy Rome, GA 30161)
